There is a lot of talk about this on my FB wall today, as it’s local. Plus, Barber Motorsport Park is right next door, where the largest Lotus race car collection lives. Barber doesn’t want it, and that says something. Also, apparently RBR wants the gearbox back if it’s sold, so it’s just a rolling chassis with a hunk of steel where the engine should be.
BmanUltima's car still hasn't been fixed yet, he'll get on it tomorrow, honest.

For some reason I was thinking the T128 was the scaled-down and de-tuned track car that Lotus sales to the general public (or at least the public that has $1 million to spend on a track car), but alas that is the T125.
For what it is — a rolling carbon fiber chassis — I guess $95,000 isn’t bad. I figure getting it fitted with an engine and a gear box that wouldn’t kill a driver (sans F1 experience) could be cost prohibitive because you can’t really make any changes to the chassis. And as is the case with most of these kinds of things, you’d need a team of people to keep it running.
It’d be an interesting display for a museum, I guess.
